I'm Jodie. The Complicated Coach.

I've spent over 20 years in leadership — building businesses, leading teams, navigating change and making decisions under pressure. I know what it looks like when things get complicated, because I've lived it.

My career started in financial services, where I worked my way through leadership roles before playing a key part in scaling a small, family-led business to £3m revenue and 45 people. That business was acquired by a group of nearly 1,000 employees and £75m turnover — and I went on to hold a Director role, reporting directly to the CEO.

I left that world to do something different. I trained as an accredited coach and mentor, and I founded what is now The Complicated Coach — a coaching-led consultancy for individuals and businesses navigating the complicated stuff.

I also founded Complicated Co. — a clothing brand built on the same philosophy. Real life is complicated. We might as well be honest about it.

What I believe

I believe most people already know what they need to do. They just need space to think clearly, someone to challenge them honestly, and a practical path forward.

I don't do corporate fluff, generic frameworks or motivational posters. I do straight-talking, grounded support — shaped around your real situation.

Trained, accredited and experienced:

•ILM Level 7 in Executive Coaching and Mentoring (in progress)

•20+ years of senior leadership and commercial experience across financial services and business consultancy

•Extensive leadership and business development training
